I offer comprehensive, individual, in-person and online, tutoring for all high school and college mathematics and physics classes, except statistics, and for the mathematics and physics sections of all standardized examsI have a forty year plus track record of engaging and motivating students to help them improve their performance in classes and on standardized exams.

I have a PhD in mathematics from The University of Michigan and over forty years experience as a private tutor, college teacher and research mathematician.  My PhD dissertation was in functional analysis and functions of several complex variables and I have done research in several other fields of mathematics and managed groups of programmers as a Research Staff Member and Manager at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center

I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses at The University of Michigan, SUNY Purchase, Pace, Polytechnic and Fordham and tutored hundreds of students in courses from elementary algebra and geometry to honors and AP physics, AP calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and thermodynamics. In addition, I have prepared students for ACT, CLEP, PSAT, SAT, AP, GRE and GMAT.  I am the author of dozens of peer reviewed research publications, received  five corporate IBM outstanding innovation awards and hold six US patents.  My resume contains more information.

I tutor local students in their homes, in-person at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library or via teleconference

Monday through Thursday 9AM - 8 PM 

Friday 9AM - 3PM


Regularly scheduled students receive reduced rate teleconference tutoring and unlimited free telephone help as needed
